The Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Udom Emmanuel has ordered the arrest of the contractors and engineers, that constructed the Reigners Bible Church, which collapsed in Uyo on Saturday killing 200 people.
It was gathered that the Governor and his Deputy were at the church with many others for ordination service of Bishop Akan Weeks, when the building came down. He escaped death by the whiskers.
One of Emmanuel’s personal assistants on media, Mr. Aniekeme Finbarr, told CNN’s Becky Anderson, that his principal gave the order on Sunday.
“They should be made to answer certain questions so that the state would be able to get to the root cause of the matter,” the Governor was quoted as saying.
